Construction of the Beach Houses is high-end and innovative, from the foundation to the roof. The materials selected for the Beach Houses construction are of substantive quality, such as the ‘Hardie plank’ siding being explicitly imported for the Beach Houses exteriors, which is rare on the island. With the horizontal planks giving a classic beach cottage look, they are also highly durable and weather resistant, giving a fresh look to the villas for a long time. Custom windows and doors are also being imported for this development, and virtually every design item in the villas has been upgraded from the local standard. Solar water heaters and oversized cisterns for water collection, hurricane-proof glass and custom concrete tiles rated for Miami-Date hurricane tolerance specifications. The villas were designed with custom concrete roof tiles made with volcanic sand from the neighbouring islands of Montserrat, a first in Caribbean construction.
